Tips on How the Upline Can Improve Relationships
 With Their Team 

1. Let team members know when they are doing a great job. This will motivate them to do even better. Try to think of unique ways to reward them for their success. Maybe you can create your own rewards system.

2. Stay in touch with team members. Try sending out emails and text. These can include important reminders and special updates. End each message with, let me know if you need to schedule a one-on-one call.

3. Try to respond to calls, emails, and text asap. It is very hard to respond to every call immediately but encourage downline members to leave a message with a brief description with the need. This will let the upline know how urgent the call or email is.

Tips on How the Downline Can Improve Their Upline Relationship

1. Respond to email, text, or calls. It is very hard to respond to them all but responding to some will let the upline know if the downline is interested in building a relationship.

2. Stay in contact with your upline. Try scheduling a one-on-one call at least once a month. This is a great opportunity to let the upline know if there are any concerns or questions.

3. Never Quit! If you feel like quitting, don't feel afraid to share your feelings with your upline. I am sure if you communicate your concerns that there is a solution. Direct sales has it challenges but working as a team can help conquer any giant!

Why You May Not be Succeeding in Onine Sales


Today I want to share a few simple tips on why I think some may not be succeeding in online sales.

No one knows what you sell
I can't stress enough how many times I've spoken with business owners that have no social media presence. In other words, they say they have a business but no one on social media knows.

Here are three things you can do today to get the word out about your business on social media.

1. Add your business information on your about information.
2. Add a cover photo with your business details on it.
3. Post flyers in work from home and free classified groups on facebook and post on Twitter and other social networks.

You are not consistent in posting
Marketing is ongoing!
Marketing every now and then or once a week will not gain you website visits. Post at least three or more ads three days a week and three times a day if you have time. If you are someone that has more time on your hands, post five to six days a week.

You have a negative social media presence
Be careful with the things you are posting on social media especially if they have a negative effect on people. Remember that people are watching you as a professional and want to see positive post when they visit your page. In other words, your post could be costing you money.

You don't have a business page for your business
Create a business page on facebook for your business. After all, its free. You can post special updates and what's new with Avon on that page. You can even post links to items for sale on your website.

You post too many business ads on your personal timeline
Its perfectly fine to post ads on your personal timeline but try not to post too many too often. As a rule, I do not post ads on my personal page daily. I post one ad twice a week maybe on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Posting like this can run clients away instead of gaining them. People don't like to feel as if a persons only motive is to sell them something. People buy from people they know and trust. Try posting encouragement, family photos, & post things like pictures of Avon meetings or your Avon success. When people see how much fun you're having with Avon, they will want to join too. Are you going to Rep Fest??? Post the details on your page.

You are not taking the time to be social
If you are someone that has very few friends or are not making the time to meet new people on social media, you could be costing yourself money. I've heard some say that there are some weirdos on social media or I don't know how to be socialize. Here's my rule of thumb. I check out profiles carefully! If it looks and feels like something about the profile just probably does not add up, you are probably right. Try adding 3 new friends each time you are on social media and try adding friends of friends. You could even send your friends a message first and ask them how they know the people you're trying to connect with. Then once you've made new friends, before throwing ads at them, take a couple of weeks to build relationships. You don't have to be on social media all day to do this. I take about 30 minutes a day to do this. Then another two hours to advertise but you can do it in less than two hours. Think about it, if stores never advertise, they would go out of business.


There are many things you can do to promote your business on social media but start with the suggestions mentioned and stay consistent. In time, your business will grow. I really hope the things here help you with earning more money online. Remember to make each day count!

How to Get Orders for Valentines Day



It's almost that time again! It seems like time pretty much flies by. Two years ago this time, I made a lot of money selling gift baskets and gift sets. I even made simple gifts that people could purchase if they did not have a lot of money. My cheapest gift was only $5. The five dollar gifts were done in coffee mugs that I paid .25 cents for. I purchased them at a thrift shop and made sure they did not have a scratch on them. I took them home then washed and dried them. I even found one with a heart on it. Then put small things in it like lip balm, trial size lotions, samples, & a business card.....and of course, a cute bow. I also wrapped the mugs with plastic left over from the baskets I made.

I want to share how easy it is to take orders for Valentines Day. If you are someone shy, its time to kick the shy habit. I learned years ago that direct sales and being shy just doesn't work. So here's how I made an extra $150 making gifts. I simply asked everyone I knew and thought about that was either married or that had a girl or boyfriend if they had thought about what they would purchase their significant other. This one simple question opened up a door to me letting them know that I provide a free service where I help people find great gifts for all occasions. 

Then I asked them what type of gift they may be interested in. I also asked them how much money they wanted to spend. Then I let them know that I offered gift baskets and a free gift wrapping service. Here is a tip on using and purchasing supplies. Take a look at your old Christmas supplies, there may be something you can use. Also Dollar Tree has supplies. Visit www.hobbylobby.com and get their %40 off coupon. This coupon can be shown at the cash register on a smart device. Its good for one regular marked item. 

Make sure you get their contact information and their email address. This way you can add them to your back office. A month after after Valentines Day, follow up with them to see how the products worked out then give them another Avon book and don't forget to put books inside of gift baskets, even if they are old brochures. I even folded Avon Out booklets and put them inside of the mugs.

Another way to earn money would be to purchase products on clearance from the Avon Outlet brochure. Make premade baskets and just make sure you make at least a five dollar profit on average size gifts.

Market Your Makeup Business Using Postcards




Today I want to share with representatives how to market makeup online and offline using postcards. This postcard idea can be great because if you are an Avon representative saying to yourself i've just about passed out brochures to everyone I know. Try your hand at searching the Yellow Pages online. You can target your area or other areas for business owners and residents. It's as easy as typing in their search area the areas or the types of businesses you are looking for then mail out postcards with your Avon labels on them and reach potential clients that you may otherwise never reach. http://www.yellowpages.com/ This is no different from any other marketing effort. Yes you will need to purchase postage and have the cards made or there is information below as to how you can get the postcards in the image above this blog post. You can also create them on your computer.

If you are a representative that has a sample club, you can also use the yellow pages to grow your club. Before you start mailing out postcards, I suggest visiting the Yellow Pages and jot down the names and addresses of people and residents that you want to mail cards out to. This way when you get your cards, you can create labels for those addresses. To save money on printing you'll need to create a single sheet of labels and type in each different address. (unless you are a person with good handwriting). Otherwise you'd be printing out a full sheet of labels for each address which wouldn't be necessary since only one label per postcard is needed.

Wow! A Site That Will Pay New Recruits $20 Cashback for Joining Avon Plus Cashback for Placing Avon Orders

It's true, there is actually a site that will pay $20 cashback to new recruits for new completed contracts. This means that Avon representatives can share their referral link that this site provides to new recruits and earn $10 for new site referrals plus the new recruit will get $20 back for joining Avon. If they purchase the $25.00 kit they will be only paying $5.00 to join Avon. Plus if representatives place their orders pretty much the same way as they would as if they were using Ebates, they would get a certain percentage back on orders. I wouldn't suggest that clients place their Avon order this way unless its a close relative or friend because it just may be too many steps. I do suggest signing up through your Avon site as your own client using a different email address. This way representatives can place their campaign order through the new account and earn a percentage back. 

Now how to earn from new recruits. 1. Join the site called Top Cash Back Here. Then click on the top of the site where it says tell a friend. They will give you a referral link with your code in it. This is the link that you will share with new recruits so they can join the site too. After they join, they will need to do a search for Avon by simply typing in Avon. They should see where they need to click and join Avon. (Make sure they use your referral code as usual). Make sure they join where it says get $20 cashback. You will get credit two ways - from Avon and from Top Cash. If you need to sit on the phone with them and walk them through the steps. Share this with your Avon friends!

Live by way of example. If people see your success, they will want a part of that too.  Its almost like trying to push people to do what you are not doing.  Think about anyone you know that needs a job or could use some extra income and share your success story with them. Give them a business card, take their number and ask them if they would like to hear more about the business. Don’t forget to follow-up! Ask them if they would like to attend your companies next meeting with you. In three days give them a call and ask them if they have any questions or concerns about the business. If they are not ready to join your team give them an extra card and ask them to give it to someone they know that could earn some extra income.  (don’t give up on them or be too pushy)  With consistency, soon you will be well on your way  to generating more leads.

How to sell Avon as a Party Host

Today I want to share how an independent Avon representative can earn money by becoming a party host. Offering a party host service can open up many doors for Avon representatives. This is a great way of meeting new people and getting the word out about your Avon business. If you are wondering how to start a party service its pretty easy. If you are a blogger or have your own personal Avon website, you could add that you offer these services. Business cards or flyers are a great way of letting people know that you're a party host. Word of mouth and referrals are the most effective way.


How Would the Avon Representative Host a Party?

I personally offer this service free of charge. As a party host, the only responsibility I suggest to cut down cost is to provide goodie bags for all event occasions. What I usually do is bring one basket of Avon books this way if anyone wants a brochure they can just pick one up. Make sure you ask if its ok to bring that basket. As guest arrive to the party or event, each table will have either a sample pack with my business card, two or three samples, & a mini flyer on the inside. If you are someone that has bows left over from the holiday this is a great time to pull some of them out. One thing I want to point out is that I try to make my sample packs coincide with their theme. For example if this is a bridal party, I only use white bows. Then I create cute little tags or labels in publisher that have the bride and grooms name on it. If this is for a birthday party, I ask the person giving the party how they plan on decorating then sort of go from there. 


Where do I Find Supplies for Parties or Events?


I do not suggest spending a lot of money on this. Try visiting a dollar store and purchasing a bag of event bags. They are usually sold for a dollar or two for about 20 to 30 bags. Another cute way to create these bags is to purchase jewelry bags. They are perfect because they are cute and come in many colors. If you are unsure about these bags, I order them all the time here on Amazon. Also scroll down the page because Amazon will show other people that sell other colors and styles. 


How do I Provide Samples for a Child's Party?


Purchasing lotion, insect repellent lotion, or shampoo & conditioner samples are great for children. Also invest in products for kids by searching the Avon website by typing "kids" in the search bar. Avon will show products for children. If this is in your budget, you could get plastic jewelry bags and pour a little in each bag. Create labels in publisher so that people will know what kind of samples they are. 

Here's another idea for sample packs for children. Purchase small bags of toys, stickers, crayons etc, and include a few in each bag. If you are purchasing toys make sure they are age appropriate. The best way to save money on purchasing toys is to buy party favors.


Tips on How to be Successful


1. Make sure your sample packs are themed. 
2. The outside of the sample packs should not have your information on them. (your info. should only be on the inside)
3. Always have sample packs made so that when you hear people say they are having an event, you won't have to go run and order supplies. Be ready to jump into the conversation to let them know you offer this service.
4. Always ask how many people they are expecting and take a few extras just in case more people show up.
5. Be creative and ask the person that is having the event if they could use your help in any way. This is a way of thanking them for allowing you to give out samples at their event.
6. Make sure you include a mini flyer with all of your contact information on the inside. I have even seen others fold the outlet brochures to include inside of the plastic goodie bags purchased from dollar stores. You could also include coupons.
7. If anyone states that they are interested in Avon in any way, ask them if you could get their contact information to followup with them.
8. Take a bag of products just in case a person wants to purchase products. You could even add a few to the basket of books.
9. Make sure instead of just handing over sample packs to the person giving the party that you are at the party. This way you make sure that you see where your samples are going.


Last Tip! Purchase products when they are on sale after holidays! You could even add a piece of candy to each sample pack.
